What to wear for a Beach Maternity session

The best part about having a maternity session at the beach in Orlando is that the beach is NEUTRAL and any color works for your outfits, and looks great! But what to wear for your maternity beach photoshoot is the question everyone asks. You may say to yourself, I’ll just buy a pretty dress and that should do it, right? Well, I explain using this beautiful Maternity shoot at a beach in Orlando I did for Lenyna and Charlie as an example. To answer this question let’s dive into my most important tips. I LOVE LOVE the earth tones. Here Lenyna picked this pretty light ivory dress. She looks stunning! Lighter tone neutrals is what I personally prefer because it photographs well in all skin tones. I also will suggest going for a long dress, they are always my personal favorite. If you prefer a flowy dress is great as well. You pick a dress that feels good on you and that accomplishes the look you are going for. Also keep in mind the WEATHER when deciding what to wear for your maternity photos. If it’s going to be hot out, pick a more breathable fabric. If it’s going to be cold, look for a long-sleeved dress, or bring a knit cardigan to throw over your shoulders to keep you warm. Remember that you want to feel comfortable during the shoot. Finally, choose a dress that shows up your growing baby bump. It could be open like Lenyna’s here or you could wear a more traditional dress that that shows up that bump!
